In memory of John Dobson (the creator of the telescope of the same name) WMA took part in Sidewalk Astronomy Week. John was an intregral part of this movement, and would often take his own telescope out to the streets, so that passers by could have a look at the night sky.
The venue for our event this year, was Waitroes, Wells. There was a great turn out from WMA members, and an amazing interest from the members of the public who stopped by to take a look. We were also, once again, graced with amazing clear skies!
