Christmas Meeting at Charterhouse Observatory
On Saturday 12th December the Charterhouse Observatory was buzzing with excitement as WMA members gathered to see the fantastic progress which has been made and all the hard work that has been put into renovating the 18.25" Dudley Fuller reflector, its mount, drive and the dome, by committee members Adrian Dening, Mark Woodland and their dedicated team of helpers and sponsors.
Unfortunately the Great British weather was uncooperative, with thick cloud cover, so we weren’t able to make full use of the fantastic new facilities, or view the Geminid meteor shower as planned. Despite this there was great turn out, with some 50 members and guests in attendance. The party was fun, with members bringing along tasty treats, and everyone had a wonderful time!
