This is an exciting opportunity for newcomers to get some hands on experience of astronomy, perhaps seeing some celestial objects for the first time as well as learning more about the subject with some fasinating presentations.
More experienced astonomers will be able to meet like minded individuals from other organisations and have excellent viewing conditions. There is a hardstanding for telescopes so please bring your equipment along - the more the merrier, and give the opportunity to the general public to experience the magic of viewing celestial objects.
As one young visitor recently noted at another gathering :-
